Gw donlot gara2 gw penasaran sama judulnya (apa nyambungnya coba, serigala sama bumbu? x_______________x).
Waktu ngeliat jumlah episode yang cuman sedikit (13, tepatnya), gw dah rada pesimis aja. “Ah, palingan cerita fantasi ga jelas,” begitu gw pikir. Tapi setelah nonton episode pertama, gw tarik lagi pikiran gw.
^_____________________^
I first found out about this anime as I wandered around Tokyotosho while waiting for the newest episode of PERSONA ~Trinity Soul~. I downloaded it simply because the title looked interesting (what has wolf got to do with spice? x_______________x).
Seeing that it has only a few episodes (13, to be exact), I was a bit pessimistic. I thought it was going to be another crap fantasy story. However, after watching the first episode, I changed my mind. It took place in a medieval-era-like world, but don’t expect fight scenes with sword or magic. If you’re looking for them, then this anime is simply not for you. (You have been warned).
The anime focused in a merchant named Lawrence, who traveled from one city to another to sell the goods that he got from the previous city. At one city, he met a wolf deity called Horo, who decided to leave the town as the townspeople lost their faith in her skill to give them good wheat harvests. And so, the two of them set on a journey together.
Even though economics has never been my favorite subject and I don’t really have any interest in anything related to it, by watching this anime I learned a lot of things. For example, now I understand the concept of trade with multiple currencies, and factors which affect the price of goods.
The “economics crash course” in this anime can be a little bit heavy at times (especially for me who knew next-to-nothing), but since it’s wrapped in a simple storyline, I can still enjoy the anime while learning. So, there’s no harm in trying to watch. ^____________________^
The anime can be downloaded via bittorent at Tokyotosho or direct download at Bleach Exile.
